The Potentialist Novel Trailer
A Tremendousness Project
I had the pleasure of collaborating with author Ben Lytle and his team to create an animated video trailer for his second novel, The Potentialist II: The Pursuit of Wisdom.
The book is about taking initiative in your daily life to become your wisest self and achieve the art of living well. Ben needed a video that captured the spirit of his message, sparked curiosity, and invited viewers to explore the ideas behind the book.
As I developed the storyboard, I wanted the visuals to reflect the series' intelligent, idealistic, yet approachable tone.
One of the central creative challenges was finding a way to visually represent something as abstract as wisdom. My solution was a starry symbol that became a recurring visual anchor throughout the story, helping give form to the book's central ideas.
Through thoughtful visuals and smooth animation, I brought the narrative to life in a way that encourages viewers to slow down, reflect, and consider their own decision-making.
The finished video offers an inviting introduction to Ben's core ideas, giving audiences a glimpse into the book's message and inspiring them to learn more.
